Travel Program Overview

Philosophy and Leadership

The philosophy of the Sayreville Soccer Club Competitive Team Program is to focus on player development, long term athletic development.  Our travel program begins at U8 and goes up through U18.  Our teams play in MNJYSA, MOSA and EDP leagues.

The goal of our travel program is to provide young soccer players an opportunity to develop their skills, play competitive soccer, establish a healthy life style, become part of a team and build lifelong friendships.

The leadership of the travel program is overseen by our outstanding directors.  Director of Coaching/Player Development: Jason Davis and Travel Director: Mike Cavanaugh.  SSC offers a full range of programs for players at many levels of play, from beginner to premier.  The primary difference between travel and intramural is the level of commitment, competition and cost. Practices can be 2-3 times per week, with a licensed coach.  Games are typically played on Sunday’s, though occasionally, multiple games and tournaments are played over the weekend.

Travel Team Uniforms

Our organization is an Official Hummel Youth Club and is committed to working closely with our Hummel representatives, in the best interest of the players and families at Sayreville Soccer Club. Once a player has officially accepted their invitation to join a travel team and is assigned (or have chosen) a player number, they may order their uniform online at Go Soccer Store, located in Green Brook, New Jersey.

Please use this link to make an account and order the uniform kit: SayrevilleSC Travel Kit

You will not be able to order a uniform until the newly rostered player is submitted to the vendor and the team roster is updated. Our uniform cycle is every two years and includes a full home kit and a full away kit (jersey, shorts, and socks). Other optional Hummel Team Wear is also available on the site including a warm-up suit and backpack/ball bag.
